Nate Adams is a Michigan-based professional critic specializing in film, theatre, and television across online and print platforms. A 2017 Theatre-Speech Communications graduate of Siena Heights University, Nate is a founding member of the Michigan Movie Critics Guild and a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic, with work featured on national platforms including VICE, The Daily Mail, and MovieTickets.com.

 

Nate has covered major festivals like Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Sundance, SXSW, and Cinetopia, conducting red carpet interviews with talents such as Matthew McConaughey, Adam Sandler, John Boyega, Bo Burnham, and Bruce Campbell. His work extends to AwardsWatch, MovieShow Plus, and appearances on various domestic and international radio broadcasts.

 

In Southeastern Michigan, Nate regularly reviews regional theatre, including Broadway in Detroit, and has appeared on FOX 2 Detroit’s “CriticLee Speaking” and Oakland County’s MEGACAST. He previously served as Film Programmer for the Adrian International Film Festival, Editor-in-Chief for Odyssey Online (NYC), and Entertainment Editor for Siena Heights’ Spectra.

 

Currently, Nate is the Film Critic for The Clinton Local, where he was a Michigan Press Association Rookie Writer of the Year nominee (2018), alongside ongoing freelance and broadcast contributions.
